| We aim to adopt packaging solutions that are eco-friendly where possible. It is important to us that our packaging information is completely accurate and so we set out in this section exactly what is genuinely recyclable.
At present, ila packaging has the following recyclable elements:
- Outer packaging: this is always card from sustainably managed forests which is fully recyclable.
- Inner packaging: the products are packaged in glass containers treated with an organic spray and are fully recyclable. Our plastic lids are polypropylene which is also fully recyclable in the UK. Where our lids are made from urea, this is not currently recyclable under the UK recycling systems (although it is recyclable in theory).
We intend to make any future plastic packaging entirely biodegradable.
