Our treatments are a unique concept, combining ancient knowledge with pure life force to facilitate healing and wellbeing, as well as glowing radiance. Ila therapists are trained in understanding life force and to working with more subtle levels of healing. Ritual is a part of being a woman and ila treatments, such as our foot scrub prior to each treatment, are based on ancient traditions and healing rituals. Ila has created music that enhances the beauty and healing of the treatments.

The Ila treatments have been created by Denise Leicester, aromatherapist, healer, nurse and yoga teacher. They come from her studies in allopathic and complementary medicine, ayurveda and her own personal journey in spirit and health.

Ananda means bliss, the quality of the third eye, in Sanskrit. The techniques used in this facial open up the energy centres of the face, working with the blissful higher energy in the body.

This is a healing and reviving treatment that brings deep feelings of bliss and peace as well as beautiful skin and glow.

Kundalini – a female goddess of awareness in the form of a coiled snake – is the dormant energy in the base of the spine, which when awakened, travels up the spine to the third eye leading to increased energy and spiritual enlightenment.

This treatment is deeply healing to the nervous system thanks to the cupping of the hands and the stimulation of the energy centres along the spine, as well as the soothing and strengthening oils used.

On a physical level the scrubs stimulate the lymphatic system and help to eliminate toxins. On a subtle level the power of the salt and oils in the scrub cleanse and strengthen the bio-energy field with more light, leaving the client looking and feeling radiant.

The mud wrap works in the same way as the scrub but it is a more powerful treatment. It draws deeper toxins from the cells, deeply revitalising the skin, lymphatic system and bio-energy field.

Seven blends of essential oil chosen for their harmonising qualities with the appropriate chakra form the basis of the bespoke treatments. These include a facial, back massage, body scrub and mud wrap as well as a two hour chakra balancing.
